Who we are

FieldScore Live is an app and website for scoring local football and cricket matches and following them live. It is run by Bahar Uddin Raihan. You can write to fieldscoreliveapp@gmail.com about anything on this page.

What we collect, and why

If you only watch

You can watch any match or league with its code, QR code or link, in the app or on this website, without signing in. The app gives each phone an anonymous Firebase account so it can read matches. It holds no name or email.

If you sign in with Google (organizers and scorers)

We receive your name, email address and a Google account id. They are used to run your account: to show you the matches and leagues you created, to let you score, and to show your name in the list of scorers of a match you help with. Your name can be seen by people who open that match.

What you enter

Team names, player names, shirt numbers, line-ups, scores, goals, cards, substitutions, cricket balls, places and match times. Matches and leagues are public by design: anyone who has the code or link can see them, and those marked "Show in the live feed" appear in the live feed for everyone. Do not enter anything you do not want shown, and do not put private details about other people in names.

Reports

If someone reports a match or league, we store the kind, its code, the reason and the time. The report is not linked to the person who sent it, and it can only be read by us.

Reports you download

Organizers can make a PDF report of their own match or league. It is built on your phone from the data above and is not uploaded anywhere.

Ads

The app shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use your device's advertising id and approximate location (worked out from your connection) to show and measure ads. In the EU, the UK and some other regions the app asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice in the app when that option is shown. Ads can also be limited in your phone's Google settings. The website does not show ads.

Camera

The camera is used only to scan a QR code. Nothing is recorded or stored.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. The app has no analytics or crash-reporting tools of its own, and nothing here is meant for children.

Who else handles your data

The app runs on Google services: Firebase (sign-in, the database and this website's hosting) and AdMob (ads). They process data on our behalf and under Google's own terms and privacy policy. When you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and what you created until you delete it. Matches and leagues you did not create are not touched when you delete your account, apart from removing your name from their scorer lists. See how to delete your account.

Your choices

You can delete your account and everything you created inside the app (Home, "Delete my account"), or by email. You can ask us to correct or remove anything you believe is wrong, such as a match that shows your name or details without your wish. Write to fieldscoreliveapp@gmail.com. If you live where the law gives you more rights (for example the EU or UK), you may also ask for a copy of your data or object to how it is used, and complain to your data protection authority.

Children

FieldScore Live is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Organizers should not enter private details about children in a match.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version and its date will be on this page.
